Multiple Bus Accidents in New York City Leave 5 People Injured

On Behalf of | Nov 30, 2018 | Bus Accidents

Three separate bus accidents in New York City earlier this month left a total of 5 people injured. The three crashes all occurred on November 5th in Jamaica Estates, Briarwood, and South Ozone Park, respectively, and all between the hours of 8 and 9 in the morning. Two of the accidents resulted in minor property damage but no physical injuries. The third accident left 5 people injured and in need of treatment.

That particular bus accident in New York happened along Hillside Avenue near the intersection of 207th Street. FDNY EMTs arrived on scene and assessed five victims complaining of multiple injuries. The wounded individuals were taken to nearby North Shore University Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. They’re all expected to make a full recovery but the emotional trauma caused by the crash could last for a long time.

You Can Recover Compensation Even If You Don’t Go To The ER Immediately After The Accident

While the victims involved in the other two bus accidents in New York City waived away the need for EMT treatment and ambulance transportation, they could still be suffering unknown injuries. Indeed, it often takes several hours or even days for soft tissue injuries or concussion symptoms to manifest. Regardless of whether or not these injured individuals sought treatment immediately after the accident or not, at fault parties can legally be held financially responsible for their injuries.

However, proving that the injuries are related to the accident after refusing ER treatment can be difficult. Victims in such cases who do not turn to an experienced bus accident lawyer in New York City to help them present their cases successfully, many times will find themselves out of court and without compensation.

If you’ve been injured in a crash and refused treatment, you still may be able to collect the compensation you deserve if your case is presented in the correct manner.
