Subway Accident in New York City Leaves Man with Minor Injuries

A man was injured late last month after being struck by a subway train in the Financial District. The early morning subway accident in New York City left the 29-year-old victim pinned beneath the train's second car of the southbound J Train for twenty minutes while rescue crews tried feverishly to extract him without doing more damage. 

Restaurant Owners Claims Wrongful Arrest in New York City

A business owner claims his Civil Rights were violated when the NYPD arrested him after he attempted to help an intoxicated patron at his restaurant. The alleged wrongful arrest in New York City occurred in 2017. Clyde Pemberton, owner of MIST Harlem who also happens to be black, claims he attempted to assist an unconscious woman whom two other women were lugging out of the bathroom at his establishment. One of the women began hitting him and screaming. The police were called. NYPD officers arrested Mr. Pemberton for unlawful imprisonment. 

Number of Fatal Bicycle Accidents in New York City this Year Tops 2015 Already

The number of bicycle accidents in New York City isn't dropping like City planners hoped it would. Engineers have spent thousands of hours and hundreds of thousands of dollars making supposed improvements to traffic flow all over the City in order to decrease the risk to pedestrians and bicyclist but statistics clearly show that all these changes are having little to no net effect. People are still being struck and injured or even killed by careless, reckless, or negligent drivers all over New York.

Pedestrian Accident in Manhattan Leaves Three Injured

An early afternoon pedestrian accident in Manhattan left three people injured on August 22nd. The victims were standing near the intersection of East 31st Street and 3rd Avenue in Midtown when an SUV jumped the curb and smashed into them before striking a light pole. One of the women was actually struck not by the car but by a flying trash can. FDNY rushed to the scene and transported all three of the victims to nearby Bellevue Hospital. All three were reportedly in stable condition.

Deadly Apartment Fire in Brooklyn Leaves Many Injured and Homeless

An apartment fire in Brooklyn turned deadly earlier this month when one of the victims of the blaze succumbed to their injuries at a city hospital. The apartment fire in the Brooklyn neighborhood of Crown Heights broke out around six in the morning on August 17th. The flames quickly spread from the ground floor to the stories above, trapping residents in smoke and flames.

Hit-and-Run Bicycle Accident in Queens Leaves Teen in Critical Condition

A terrifying bicycle accident in Queens earlier this month left a young teen in critical condition fighting for his life in the hospital. The Victim, 11-year-old Richard Granville, was riding his bike on Healy Street in Far Rockaway, Queens on August 14th when he was struck from behind by a black sedan. Eye witnesses to the accident report seeing the boy fly up into the air before crashing back down to the pavement. The car sped away from the scene of the accident, leaving the teenager injured and alone.

Truck Accident in New York Leaves Pedestrians Injured

A truck accident in New York left multiple pedestrians with non-life-threatening injuries and 42nd Street covered in a mess of debris earlier this month. Witnesses to the crash say that a truck hauling a trailer loaded with three driverless vehicles lost control along a stretch of 42nd Street and smashed into a scaffolding, sending pipes, planks, and other debris raining down onto the sidewalk and street. One person walking along the sidewalk suffered minor injuries and was transported to Bellevue Hospital. Another was injured as well but refused treatment at the scene.
