On February 23rd, EMTs, police, and firefighters rushed to the scene of a terrifying school bus accident in New Jersey. A school bus carrying more than a dozen children crashed into a boulder at the side of the road, caromed off into a building and then rolled over. The crash happened as the children were being driven to school that morning.

Miraculously, no serious injuries were reported but two of the kids were taken to a nearby hospital for observation. The driver of the bus—a 55-year-old man—was transported to a medical facility for observation.

A statement from police investigators indicated that charges may be brought case but whether those charges would be levied against the driver of the bus or another motorist at the scene is unclear.

This school bus accident clearly demonstrates how a normal morning commute can quickly turn into disaster. The extent of the damage to the vehicle and the surrounding structures was extensive. Thankfully, the injuries to the children were not severe.
